About This Online Harmonium Keyboard

This web harmonium keyboard recreates the sound of a real harmonium using the Web Audio API. Each key triggers a sampled tone with natural decay, giving you an authentic playing experience directly in your browser.

Unlike a physical harmonium, this online harmonium keyboard lets you instantly transpose, switch octaves, and add reverb — all with a single click. Whether you are warming up before a rehearsal or learning your first raga, the web harmonium keyboard is ready whenever you are.

Three Ways to Play

1. Computer keyboard — Press the mapped keys on your computer to play the web harmonium keyboard hands-free. See the full mapping table below.
2. Mouse or touchscreen — Click or tap the on-screen keys. This works on desktops, phones, and tablets.
3. MIDI controller — Connect any standard MIDI keyboard via USB, select it from the dropdown, and play the online harmonium keyboard with velocity sensitivity.

Transpose and Octave Controls

The Transpose control shifts every key on the web harmonium keyboard up or down by semitones (range: −11 to +11). This is useful when you need to match a singer's pitch or play along with a recording in a different key.

The Octave control moves the entire keyboard to a higher or lower register. Combined with transpose, you can reach any note the harmonium is capable of producing.

Using a MIDI Controller

If you own a MIDI keyboard or pad controller, connect it via USB and click the refresh button next to the MIDI dropdown. Your device will appear in the list. Once selected, every note you press on the MIDI controller plays through this online harmonium keyboard with realistic velocity response.

MIDI support uses the Web MIDI API, which is available in Chrome, Edge, and Opera. If your browser does not support Web MIDI, you can still use the computer keyboard or touch input.
